March Bullet Journal Spread

Wow, it’s March already? Where did January and February go?

Before I begin I just wanted to say that I am so incredibly impressed by how this month’s spread turned out. I’m still slowly learning to incorporate colors into the theme, and of course for March I had to choose green for St. Patrick’s Day! I figured picking the biggest holiday of the month would be the easiest way to follow a color scheme since I’m still a beginner.

I decided to write the quote “Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today” on this page to remind myself not to dwell on the past too much. I’ve been consistently meal prepping, counting calories, and going to the gym for the past two months and one of the things I’ve been working on is not feeling bad about having a cheat meal or going over my calories. I used to waste a lot of time regretting something I ate the day before, so it’s a reminder to myself to let myself live a little.

Having no experience with calligraphy, I decided to attempt to write “March” like all of the expert bullet journalers. I originally wrote it in a thin pen, but I went over it with a thicker black marker and it turned out okay!

I usually don’t find myself using the full month’s spread calendar, but because I’ve been working out so consistently lately I’ve transformed this page as a way to keep track of my workouts! I’m pleasantly surprised with how this calendar came out because I attempted to draw a similar format for the month of February without a ruler and it turned out horrendous! 😂

For January and February the left page was actually for Month Goals but I decided to switch it up and make it a Mood Tracker instead! Each color represents a different mood I’m feeling. I really like using a mood tracker because it allows me to reflect on how my overall day went. It’s also so aesthetically pleasing to see how it turns out at the end of the month!

The right side is saved for my Habit Tracker which has been so useful lately! It helps me remember when I last wore my retainers, it reminds me if I’ve been lacking on my skincare routine or flossing, you get the gist.

Now we’re at the weekly spreads! I experimented with some washi tapes this month for each week. I really like how it came out because it gave the pages a nice look without me having to take much effort to attempt to draw something.

I went for a simple, clean look for this week with just a dark green drop shadow. This page actually took a little longer than I expected because I wanted to make sure all the drop shadows all looked identical.

I wasn’t sure what to do for the last two weeks of March when I decided to draw these, but I did a design similar to this when I did my February Month Goals spread. I’ve been trying to figure out if I like the horizontal or vertical weekly spread so I switch back and forth between the two layouts. I think I’ll keep switching back and forth until I finally decide which one works best for me.

And this page is similar to the full month spread layout because to be completely honest, I just ran out of ideas. 😂 I always find myself running out of ideas when it gets to the last two week spreads so if anyone has any suggestions on how to keep up with different looking spreads, let me know!
