I am honestly still surprised that IHOP re-branched themselves to IHOB…
Anyways, International House of Burgers is officially a thing, and it’s not a prank! I decided to try a burger for dinner and see if their burgers were really worth the whole rebranding.
My friend got the Jalapeno Kick burger (Above: Spicy blend of sauteed jalapenos, Serrans and onion, our custom-cured hickory-smoked bacon, pepper-jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and jalapeno mayo.)
I got the Classic with Bacon (Above: Our custom-cured hickory-smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and our signature IHOP sauce.)
The bun was a little too dry for my taste and the burger was honestly underwhelming. It tasted like any other diner burger I’ve had before (by diner I’m comparing it to Norm’s and Denny’s). It’s nothing to get excited over, but definitely worth giving it a try if you’ve never had it before. Of course I didn’t expect it to be some type of fancy burger that you could compare to places like Umami, but I did expect a little more from them since they really rebranded their entire restaurant surrounding the burgers.
IHOB is worth giving a shot, but I would definitely not come back for a burger!
